Norwegian Salmon
Norwegian salmon has become the most popular fish in the world.
The world’s first successfully bred salmon was placed in a corral in a Norwegian fjord outside Trondheim in 1970, by brothers Ove and Sivert Grøntvedt.

Australia accounts for more than half of the world’s Atlantic salmon market, according to the FAO. Australia exports salmon to more than 100 countries around the world, more than 1 million tons in 2019, representing 14 million Norwegian salmon meals consumed every day.
